Jean-Noël Barrot, the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, made his first visit to Israel and the Palestinian Territories a month ago on October 7, and last week on November 7, to Jerusalem and then Ramallah. according to the course of the visit, the French Minister of Foreign Affairs went there to "continue a demanding dialogue with Israel on Gaza, Lebanon and the situation in the Middle East, to continue our exchanges with the Palestinian Authority, an essential partner in implementing the two-state solution, to advance the parameters of a security and diplomatic solution in Lebanon, particularly after the conference organized in Paris on October 24, to mark the continuity of French commitment in the region following the result of the American elections.
The Minister was also expected to "reaffirm on this occasion France's support and solidarity with the hostages held in Gaza, including two French nationals, Ohad Yahalomi and Ofer Kalderon" (Source: French Ministry of Affairs)

The Secretary and Foreign Minister discussed the situation in Ukraine, including the implications of Russia’s decision to introduce DPRK troops into Russia’s unprovoked war, and underlined their shared determination to sustain assistance to Ukraine and support Ukrainian efforts to defend their freedom and achieve victory. The Secretary underscored the importance of a diplomatic resolution to the conflict in Lebanon that allows civilians on both sides of the Blue Line to return home safely.
