USPA NEWS - The 19th Edition of Capri-Hollywood The International Film Fest (Dic. 26 - Jan. 2) will consecrate american actress Rita Hayworth.
One of the world's most iconic divas of the 1950's, Mrs. Hayworth launched her own and personal life-style on the beautiful italian island situated in the Gulf of Naples
This year the event is dedicated to the "dea dell'amore" (goddess of love), as she was called and will always be remembered, in Italy, after she starred in the screen-plays Gilda (1946) and Sangue e Sabbia (Blood and Sand).
Movie projections and photo exhibits will complete the tribute.
"After Ingrid Bergman, Grace Kelly and Maria Callas, says Tony Petruzzi, president of the Istituto Capri nel Mondo, we wish to remember a real beauty icon and great actress, who was the first international movie star to promote Capri as part of the "Jet System", choosing this island as her honeymoon destination place with husband Prince Aly Khan in 1950".
Rita Hayworth, talented actress and ballerina, starred in innumerous movies but unfortunately she was confined to the stereotyped role as pin-up girl obfuscating her skills in acting.

The attendance in Capri of the great artist Kapur, friend and supporter of the festival since 2002 and prominent figure both in Bollywood and Hollywood, is a privilege and will contribute to expanding the dialogue between cultures drawing the attention of Asian media to Italy and the southern Italian regions.
