MILAN-EXPO IS READY SAYS PRIME MINISTER RENZI

CONSTRUCTION ENDS TODAY

USPA NEWS - Premier Matteo Renzi said Wednesday that Milan Expo 2015 is "ready" to open May 1.
"We're ready. It could have been done better, it could have been done elsewhere, it could have been done sooner...but it is a reality and it will be great," Renzi wrote on his website, adding he will visit the Nepal pavilion first "in solidarity".
Also on Wednesday, Expo Commissioner Giuseppe Sala said the World's Fair construction site aims to close definitively as such "by tomorrow lunchtime".
"After that we will run some technical tests and law enforcement will carry out a final sweep prior to the opening, so that the first Expo visitor will have a secure exposition site," Sala said.
