MORE THAN 100 ARRESTS IN NYC DURING PROTESTS

AMERICANS CALL FOR JUSTICE

USPA NEWS - Over 100 demonstrators were arrested during a protest march in solidarity with protesters in the riot-ravaged city of Baltimore, media said Thursday.
Dozens of arrests were also reported in Baltimore, Seattle, Detroit, Chicago and Indianapolis, as Americans called for justice for Freddie Gray, the 25-year-old black man who died in police custody with a snapped spine.
His death on April 19 after a week in a coma sparked violent protests and ugly scenes of looting and violence. A week-long curfew and a state of emergency were declared in Baltimore with effect from April 29, with thousands of National Guard troops deployed in the city in a bid to end the trouble.
